Literature Text

We'll never get along in this little world of ours,
Somewhere, someone is going to act like they're a tower,
Rising over us all, thinking they're better than us,
But in fact they are nothing but a small spec of dust,

I do not understand how men with such minds,
Live without every one of their limbs,
Ripped right off from people whose hearts they broke,
And leave them in the burning sun somewhere remote,

Hate is the big word we all live with,
Respect is now never embedded in our teeth,
For the word is no longer existing,
For hatred is now the one that is residing,

I used to smile at every new face I meet,
Shake hands with them and hang out and eat,
But now I learned that your own trust is your own best friend,
Because some will stab you in the back as all friendships will end,

Now it will cost you an arm and a leg,
To regain my trust once again,
It will take me to see you cry blood,
For all the times you pushed me in the mud,

It's far too late for your apology,
You've kicked me in the stand too much,
I will not speak for your eulogy,
I will not get up and smile,
I will stare at you, lying in the sand,
Thinking of the hatred embedded in your tiles,

Tomorrow, I pray for a day where we can all respect
A day where we can all live without the feeling of regret
But that will always be a dream
A dream thrown past the fast flowing river stream
A dream that we will never see
A dream that will never be.

So save your apologies,
My face is in the sand too,
I won't speak for your eulogy,
I won't smile,
I'll lie in the sand,
And look at the flaws in your tiles,
A little song that came up in my mind after getting so piss mad.
